Mbappe sets new UCL record after bagging a brace at the UCL

Mbappe sets a new UCL record after scoring more goals than any player in the UCL history at his age. He scored his 30th UCL goal in the match against Club Brugge on Tuesday 8th December 2021. As a result of the outcome, he rose to the pinnacle of young players to have reached that tally.

Players like Ex Cameroon international and Barcelona star, Samuel Eto and Manchester United Legend Wayne Rooney, however, were the only two above the French international before the Tuesday match.

He set the record after his second goal against Club Brugge. He achieved this feat at the age of 23 years old.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi scored twice to hand over a comfortable victory to Paris St German. It was a night of cruise for the French giant as they were not under any form of pressure. They qualified with a game to spare. Lionel Messi reaffirmed the legitimacy of his recently won the Best Player award by bagging a brace.

Kylian Mbappe rose to prominence making him a force to reckon with. He has far achieved more than his mate had in previous years and tipping him for the FIFA Ballon d’Or at this stage is not a gainsaying.

The French international having set a recent record at the just concluded FIFA World Cup by being among the young person to score a hattrick in World Cup after Pele, went ahead to take his UCL figures to 30 goals at the age of 23.
