Pablo Torre joins struggling Barca till end of 2026

Who is Pablo Torre?

Pablo Torre Carral is a Spanish sensation, who plays as a midfielder for Real Racing Club. He was born in Soto de la Marina on April 3, 2003 (18 years old). He has made a total of 48 appearances for the Segunda division side between 2021 and 2022. He is ranked as the best player in the division after finding the back of the net 6 times with a couple of assists (six). Before now, he has been attracted to top flight clubs from across Europe, with Real Madrid and Barcelona leading the chase.

According to FC Barcelona, he joined the lower categories of Racing de Santander in 2015 as a first-year child. In the Cantabrian team he grew until making his debut with the first team on October 18, 2020 in a league match against Portugalete. He plays regularly for Spanish U19 side. He operates from the wing with ability to make final passes that will lead to goal.

The road to Camp Nou

His prolific form for Real Racing Club has drawn the attentions of clubs all across Europe before eventually signing for Barcelona. Barcelona are currently going through restructuring under their new manager Xavi. Although, finding themselves in the Europa League for the very first time should make them chase after established player, with a particular focus on the attacking position. They became weak in front of goal post after the departure of Lionel Messi and Luiz Suarez, who departed for Paris Saint Germane and Atletico Madrid respectively.

The purchase of the Pablo Torre is an indication that the Catalan club is planning for the future, and going for the teenage sensation seems to be the right way to go. Barcelona took to their official website to announce the signing of the prodigy on Friday 3rd of March, 2022.

What is included in the contract

On the official website of the Spanish giants, the club announced that Pablo Torre would be joining the Team B at the end of the current season. This, however is a as a result of the close of the transfer market. With the conspicuous envisaged lack of game time for the prodigy, the club has decided to include a termination clause of 100 million euros. Although, joining after an agreement of 5 million euros was reached, the player’s buy out clause is expected to increase well above 20 million euros should his development impresses.

Also included in the contract is that Pablo Torre would be player for the Catalan giants till June 30, 2026.
